Wedding planner app or spreadsheet: which is better?
Short answer
A spreadsheet is fine for a small wedding with a simple guest list. A dedicated planner helps once RSVPs, seating, budget and tasks need to stay connected. Before choosing one, check the cost, where your guest data is stored and whether you can export it.
Recommended tool: Wedding planner
How they compare
| What matters | Spreadsheet | Dedicated planner |

| Seating plan | Hard to visualise | Often a visual, drag and drop plan |
| Budget | Flexible, but you build it | Ready made categories |
| Cost | Often free | Free, one payment or a subscription |
